Call for reports for the 2012 IP Watchlist... the final edition?

Although I don't wish to interrupt the excellent work that many of
you are doing on "Holding Broadband Service Providers to Account",
it is now time to also start thinking about the next edition of our
IP Watchlist.

As you know, the IP Watchlist (http://A2Knetwork.org/watchlist) is
the longest-standing regular activity in the A2K/communications work
of Consumers International.  It always attracts blog and press
interest for challenging the received wisdom about which countries
have the world's best intellectual property systems... since the
highest level of protection is rarely best for consumers.

The next edition of the IP Watchlist in 2012 will be its fourth and
probably the last for now.  So I would like to encourage all of you,
even if you didn't produce a Watchlist report for your country last
year, or perhaps have never done so, to contribute to the 2012
edition.

I am attaching the latest edition of the four-page guide to the
process of contributing or updating an IP Watchlist report for your
country.  This should be self-explanatory, but please don't hesitate
to contact me with your questions.  In particular, there is an
allocation of funding available for any member who needs it to
support their work on the Watchlist, as the attachment explains in
detail.

If you want to contribute for 2012, the first step that you have to
take is to email me and confirm your intention to do so.  You will
then have between now and the end of February 2012 to prepare your
new or updated report.  Sorry, but reports can ONLY be entered using
the Web-based form provided; Microsoft Word or PDF documents cannot
be accepted.

Many thanks in anticipation in your help in making the fourth and
final IP Watchlist the biggest and best edition yet.
